WSU Falls to Wake Forest, 45-37

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Washington State women's basketball team fell to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 45-37, at the Women's Sports Foundation Classic, Sunday.

The loss drops WSU to 0-2 on the season. Wake Forest improved to 2-0.

Freshman Colleen Betteridge led the Cougars with 10 points. Wake Forest was led by Alex Tchangoue, who tallied a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds.

The Cougars return to action for their home opener against the Sacramento State Hornets, Friday, Nov. 17 at 4:30 p.m. at Beasley Coliseum.

Following the game the team will hold a silent auction at the Beasley Coliseum Outer Concourse at 7 p.m. Items to be auctioned off include autographs and merchandise from the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Storm, an overnight package at the Coeur d' Alene Resort and much more. Proceeds will help fund the team's 2008 Foreign Tour.
