Asia Kaczor Named Pac-10 Conference Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- USC opposite and outside hitter Asia Kaczor has been named the Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Nov. 6-12, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Kaczor, a junior from Wroclaw, Poland, led the Women of Troy to a pair of 3-0 victories over the weekend at No. 2 Stanford and No. 12 California, extending their Conference record to 12-3, 23-3 overall. The weekend sweep moved USC up two-spots in the national rankings from No. 6 to the No. 4 spot.
During Friday night's match against Stanford, Kaczor posted 26 kills and hit .500 for the night. Her outstanding play continued into Saturday's match against California as she posted 23 kills, four digs, three block assists, and two assists. For the week, she registered 8.17 kills per game and hit .415 while recording 13 digs and three block assists.
For the season, Kaczor has posted double-digit kills in 25 of USC's 26 matches and has recorded 20 or more kills nine times. She has a streak of four straight matches with 20 or more kills, with the last three matches being 3-0 sweeps, and has averaged 7.15 kills per game over that span. In addition, she has a 4.95 kpg average this season including a 5.22 kpg average in Pac-10 Conference matches this season. She is hitting .311 overall, with 168 digs (1.81 dpg), 66 total blocks (0.71 bpg), and 30 service aces (0.32 sapg) for the season.
Kaczor currently ranks third on USC all time list in points (522.5) and is 10th with 460 kills.
This is the second weekly honor for Kaczor and USC's 39th Pac-10 Player of the Week all-time.
