Volleyball Vs. Stanford Selected As FSN Wildcard Match

SEATTLE-- The Pacific-10 Conference and FSN have selected the University of Washington volleyball match against Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif. on Nov. 24 as its wildcard match the and final of its 10-match line-up. The Huskies have already appeared on television four times this season including an earlier match-up vs. the Stanford Cardinal in Seattle on Sept. 22. The match will air tape-delayed on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 3 p.m.
The second-ranked Huskies, the two-time defending Pac-10 Champions and the 2005 NCAA Champions, are currently tied with third-ranked Stanford for the lead in the Pac-10 standings with a 12-2 conference mark. Four league matches remain in the Pac-10 schedule with Washington hosting Arizona and Arizona State, Nov. 16-17 before heading to the Bay Area to take on Stanford and California, Nov. 24-25.
Washington's 2004 and 2005 Pac-10 titles marked the first and second for the Huskies' program and both championships came with a one-match lead over Stanford.
