Cougar Men 29th at NCAA Cross Country Championship

Terre Haute, Ind. - The Washington State men's team finished 29th at the 2006 NCAA Div. I Men's Cross Country Championships, Monday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at Terre Haute, Ind.
The Cougars, who were an at-large team selection after their NCAA West Regional eighth place finish, were led by Woody Favinger's 92nd place finish with a time of 32-minutes, 49 seconds on the 10,000m course. Favinger is a sophomore from Bellingham, Wash.
WSU's other scorers include sophomore Drew Polley (sophomore, Port Orchard, Wash.) was 99th (32:54), Andrew Jones (junior, Gillette, Wyo.) was 115th (33:04), Alex Grant (junior, Bellingham, Wash.) was 123rd (33:07), and Clay Hemlock (senior, Ferndale, Wash.) was 166th (33:46). Additional Cougar competitors included Chris Williams (junior, Federal Way, Wash.) at 184th (34.09), and Dan Geib (freshman, Reno, Nev.) at 211th (36:08).
