USC's Chloé Kerr Named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Women's Basketball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - USC senior center Chloé Kerr has been named the U.S. Bank Pac-10 Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 20-26, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Kerr averaged 18.5 points, seven rebounds, and 3.5 blocks as the Trojans split a pair of games against Notre Dame and Nebraska over the weekend. On Friday, Kerr posted 12 points and seven rebounds on 6-of-13 shooting as USC snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Fighting Irish with a 69-58 victory. Kerr also added three assists and four blocks.
Next time out against Nebraska on Sunday, Kerr set a career-high with 25 points and pulling down seven more boards and blocking three more shots. Kerr also tied the No. 3 all-time USC mark for single-game free throw percentage, going 11-of-11 from the charity stripe. Her efforts alone weren't quite enough, however, as the Cornhuskers prevailed, 72-65.
Through five games, Kerr is fourth in the Conference in scoring (17.4 ppg), tied for fourth in rebounds (8.0) and leads the Conference with 14 total blocks.
USC (2-3) takes to the road this week to face Colorado on Sat., Dec. 2, and Utah on Mon., Dec. 4.
This is the first career Player of the Week award for Kerr and the 34th all-time for USC.
