Nov. 28, 2006

Stanford, Calif. - Bryn Kehoe, a junior setter from Stanford University, has been named Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week. She earned the honor for her strong performance in a pair of sweeps over two tough Pac-10 opponents last weekend, which gave the Cardinal the conference title.

In Stanford's first match on Friday night, Kehoe had 38 assists, four kills, 12 digs, one solo block and a season high eight total blocks in the Cardinal's upset of then-ranked No. 2 Washington. She followed that up on Saturday night with a 40-assist performance in leading her teammates to a .338 hitting percentage in a win over Washington State. She also contributed three kills, 12 digs and one block assist in the win.

For the week, Kehoe averaged 13 assists per game while leading Stanford to a .282 hitting percentage. She also averaged four digs and 1.5 blocks per game.

Kehoe is the tenth Cardinal player to earn the Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week honors, and the first since Kristin Richards in November 2005. Stanford is coached by John Dunning.
