Scouting Montana: The Lady Griz come to Pullman with a three-game winning streak...Montana's only loss came at No. 6 Ohio State, 83-43, Nov. 26...Mandy Morales leads the team with a 17.6 points a game average...The Lady Griz's 74-54 win over Portland, Dec. 2, marked head coach Robin Selvig's 650th career win.
Series With Montana: Friday's game marks the 37th all-time meeting between the two teams...Montana holds a 19-17 advantage...the two teams have not met since Dec. 14, 2002 when Montana captured a 57-53 win over WSU at Missoula.
Appleton Posts Double-Double In Win At San Jose State: Katie Appleton recorded her first career double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the Cougars' 72-61 win over the San Jose State Spartans, Dec. 5 at McPherson Court.
Coming Back: The Cougars staged the 11th biggest comeback in WSU women's basketball history, Dec. 2 against Eastern Washington...WSU was down by as many as 11 points in the second half against the Eagles before a 16-0 WSU run, which eventually led to a six-point victory.
Double Stotler: Freshman Marisa Stotler (Chandler Ariz.) posted her third double-double of the season as she had 24 points and 14 rebounds in a 76-70 victory over Eastern Washington, Dec. 2...Stotler also contributed five steals, placing her fifth on WSU's single-game steals list. ..Stotler leads the team with an 11.8 points a game average.
Benz Moves Up Career Rebound List: Kate Benz's career rebound mark now stands at 746...she moved past Jenni Ruff's (1993-96) total of 727 last week and has sole possession of third place on the rebound list...Benz now eyes Janet Kusler (1976-79) who is second on the all-time list with 853 rebounds...Benz also has 882 career points, No. 15 on the WSU career scoring list.
