PAC-10 NOTES

• ARIZONA senior F Ivan Radenovic needs 12 points to reach 1,000 points for his career. He'd become the 41st Wildcat to reach that plateau. During coach Lute Olson's tenure, 26 different players have finished their career scoring 1,000 or more points ... All five starters scored in double figures in Arizona's win over Houston. It was the fourth time this season that all five starters reached double digits in the same game ... Radenovic has connected on 30 of his last 33 free throw attempts (.909). He's fourth in the Pac-10 in free throw percentage (.855), and the only non-guard in the Pac-10 shooting better than 80 percent from the charity stripe ... Sophomore F Marcus Williams, third on the team in scoring at 15.9 points per game, has been hitting the boards lately. Over the last five games, he's averaging 8.6 rebounds, which includes a pair of double-doubles.

• ARIZONA STATE senior F Serge Angounou tied a career high with 23 points at Xavier on Dec. 16. He now has four 20-point games in his career. His five three-point field goals made against Xavier is a career-best as well. Entering this season, Angounou was 6-of-33 (.182) from the three-point stripe but he is 12-of-26 (.462) this year. He is averaging 14 points and 10.5 boards in his past four games, including 9-of-16 (.563) from the three-point stripe in that time ... Freshman G Jerren Shipp is averaging 32.5 minutes per game, as Byron Scott set the ASU freshmen record at 32.3 minutes per game in 1979-80. Other notable freshmen minutes per game include Ike Diogu (32.2 in 2002-03), Eddie House (29.5 in 1996-97) and Jamal Faulkner (29.1 in 1990-91). Faulkner, Scott and Diogu were all named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year while House made the league's All-Freshman Team.

• After a 10-day break for exams, CALIFORNIA returns to action against Furman on Tuesday ... In its seven wins this season, California is limiting the opposition to 36.6 percent shooting from the floor and 55.7 points per game ... In his last six games, senior G Ayinde Ubaka has 38 assists and only 10 turnovers. Ubaka leads the Pac-10 with a 2.68 assist/turnover ... Sophomore F Theo Robertson has posted double digit scoring totals in each of the last three games, averaging 11.7 ppg on 11-of-16 (.688) shooting from the field and 10-of-11 (.909) from the free throw line ... Junior C DeVon Hardin has 95 career blocked shots. He needs four to move past former Bear Brian Hendrick for fourth on the school's career list.

• If OREGON defeats Mercer on Saturday, it will be the Ducks' best start (11-0) in 60 years. The last Oregon team to open a season 11-0 was the 1946-47 squad that won its first 12 games. As it is, the Ducks are 10-0 for the seventh time in school history (first time since 1996-97) ... Senior G Aaron Brooks became the 25th member of Oregon's 1,000-point club during the Eastern Washington game. He's now 23rd on the UO list with 1,028 points ... Oregon and UCLA enter the week as two of six unbeaten teams remaining nationally. Not to look too far ahead, but those two teams meet Jan. 6 in Eugene ... Junior G Bryce Taylor has scored in double figures in all 10 games this season for a 17.0 ppg average and is shooting 58.8 percent from the field. Both marks rank fourth in the Pac-10 ... Pac-10 leading scorer freshman G Tajuan Porter (18.2 ppg) sat out Sunday's game with Idaho State after spraining the big toe on his left foot Friday against Eastern Washington. Porter is expected back in uniform for Oregon's game Saturday ... Junior G Chamberlain Oguchi, out since Nov. 29 with a sprained left ankle, may also return to action on Saturday.

• OREGON STATE hit a season-high 11 three-pointers (but made only a season-low eight two-pointers) in its game against LSU ... Sophomore G/F Jack McGillis, averaging 3.1 points heading into last week's games, came off the bench the last two games to average 13.0 points. He posted a career-high 15 points in the win over Western Oregon, then hit a career-best three three-pointers for 11 points against LSU ... Junior F Marcel Jones leads the team in scoring (16.4 ppg). His scoring averaged has made a dramatic improvement from 3.9 ppg as freshman to 9.2 ppg as a sophomore to his current scoring average ... Freshman G Josh Tarver leads the Beavers in minutes played (32.18 per game). He's one of five freshmen among the Pac-10's top eight players in terms of minutes played per game this season

• STANFORD's FG percentage of .275 against Santa Clara was its lowest of the year ... Tuesday's game vs. Fresno State will be Stanford's first road game of the season. In eight games thus far, the Cardinal have played seven at home and one neutral game in San Jose. Stanford's first out-of-state contest will be December 28, when they open league play against Arizona State in Tempe ... Freshmen F Brook and Robin Lopez return home to Fresno on Tuesday. The twins are local Fresno products from San Joaquin Memorial ... Stanford is 5-2 in Maples Pavilion this season. The Cardinal have had 13 straight winning seasons. The Cardinal has won 50 of its last 58 games at Maples Pavilion dating back to the 2002-03 season.

• UCLA sophomore G Darren Collison has scored 15 points in each of the Bruins last three games, shooting 14-of-23 (.609) during that span of games ... The Bruins remain home for the next four contests (Dec. 19 - Sam Houston State, Dec. 23 - Michigan, Dec. 28 - Washington State, Dec. 31 - Washington). In fact, their first true road game of the season comes Jan. 4 at Oregon State, as the Bruins will have played four games on neutral courts and nine in Pauley Pavilion before venturing to Corvallis. The end of the season is a different story as UCLA hits the road for five of their last seven regular season games ... Despite being undefeated, free throw woes have plagued the Bruins this season. Shooting 59.8 percent from the charity stripe places the Bruins at the bottom of the league team statistics. The Bruins have shot 60 percent or better from the line in just three of nine games this season.

• USC had its streak of holding each opponent this season to shooting less than 40 percent from the field end against Charleston Southern as the Buccaneers torched the nets by shooting 41.2 percent ... USC has held the opposition under 40 percent shooting in 19 of the 40 games Tim Floyd has been the head coach (47.5 percent), whereas in the previous two seasons, USC accomplished the feat eight times in 57 games (14 percent) ... Junior G/F Nick Young needs two points to reach 1,000 points for his career. In two games last week, Young shot 16-of-26 (.615) from the field and averaged 19.5 points ... Senior G Lodrick Stewart posted the first double-double of his career with 13 points/10 rebounds against Charleston Southern ... Freshman F Taj Gibson posted his Pac-10 leading fifth double-double of the season with 18 points/10 rebounds vs. Charleston Southern. Last season, Nick Young led the Trojans with four double-doubles.

• WASHINGTON will test its home-court supremacy this week when No. 12 LSU visits Bank of America Arena. The Huskies are riding a 14-game home court winning streak, and have won 25 consecutive non-conference home games. Overall, the Huskies have won 47 of their last 49 games at Bank of America Arena ... Over the last three games, freshman C Spencer Hawes is shooting 24-of-37 (.649) from the field, and averaging 19.0 points over that span of games. Hawes leads the league with 24 blocked shots, averaging 2.67 blocks per game. Brandon Roy led the Huskies last season with a total of 26 blocks ... Freshman F Phil Nelson is providing the Husky frontline with quality depth. He's come off the bench to average 9.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in 20 minutes of action per game over the last three games.

• WASHINGTON STATE improved to 10-1, its best record through 11 games since 1991-92 (11-0) ... In its 69-50 win over Cal State Northridge, Washington State held the Matadors to 35.5 points below the their season average. CSUN entered the week as the seventh highest scoring team in the country ... Junior G Derrick Low scored a team-high 17 points vs. CSUN, his 10th game in double figure scoring this season.
