Trojans Ranked No. 25 In 2007 Collegiate Baseball Preseason Poll

LOS ANGELES -- The USC baseball team has been ranked No. 25 by Collegiate Baseball in its 2007 preseason poll. Rice heads the list as the top-ranked team, followed by Clemson, South Carolina, Arkansas and North Carolina.

First-year head coach Chad Kreuter leads a Trojan squad that finished 25-33 last season. A total of four starting position players and nine pitchers return for the 2007 campaign, enhanced by the No. 3 rated recruiting class in the nation. Arizona State is the highest ranked Pac-10 Conference team at No. 14, followed by Stanford (No. 23), UCLA (No. 26) and Arizona (No. 27).

USC begins the 2007 season on Tuesday (Jan. 30) with a 6 p.m. start against Cal Poly at Dedeaux Field. The game will be broadcast live via video webcast on, courtesy of TrojanTV All-Access.
