The No. 11 USC women's swimming team fought off the rust of a holiday break and extremely windy conditions to defeat Pac-10 rival Washington, 123-80, in the teams' first-ever meeting on Friday (Jan. 5) at McDonald's Swim Stadium.

Sophomore Rachael Waller won twice for the Trojans, touching first in the 200y free in 1:52.41 and later winning the 100y free in 52.10.

Junior Brittany Allen took second in the 1000y free in 10:06.03, just off first-place Kim Jasmer of Washington (10:05.25).

Waller's win in the 200y free spearheaded a 1-2-3 finish with freshman Whitney Stephenson (1:54.41) and junior Emily Goetsch (1:55.28) following behind. Goetsch was later second in the 200y fly (2:05.77) while Stephenson was second in the 200y back (2:07.72).
