Stewart's Career Game Leads Trojans To 91-46 Rout At Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Lodrick Stewart had a career-high 28 points including 20 in the first half to lead Southern California to a 91-46 Pacific-10 Conference win Saturday over Oregon State.
Taj Gibson added 20 points and five rebounds for the Trojans (13-4, 3-1 Pac-10), who completed a Beaver State sweep that started with an 84-82 victory at No. 16 Oregon on Thursday.
Angelo Tsagarakis had 10 points to lead Oregon State (8-8, 0-3), which opened the conference schedule with three straight home games.
Stewart' steal and basket with 11:39 remaining in the game gave him 28. He left the game soon after and didn't return.
Saturday's final score provided the most points scored by USC this season and the most allowed by Oregon State.
USC led by 23 at halftime and went ahead 64-29 on a Gabe Pruitt 3-pointer with 15:20 left. The Trojans took their biggest lead after three straight baskets by Abdoulaye Ndiaye made it 89-39 with 1:40 remaining.
USC used an 18-2 run ending the first half to pull away for a 49-26 halftime lead. Stewart, a 6-foot-4 senior guard, capped an 8-0 run to put USC ahead 17-6 with 12:35 left in the first half.
Oregon State's 7-1 run closed the Trojan lead to 27-21 with eight minutes remaining in the half but USC rolled from there.
Consecutive baskets by Taj Gibson made it 37-26, and Stewart followed with the next 10 points including two 3-pointers.
Ndiaye, averaging 3.8 points per game, finished with 16 points and eight rebounds. Oregon State shot 31 percent for the game against 66 percent for the Trojans.
