Craddock, Reed and Griffin Qualify for Finals at Modrall Sperling Invite

Sophomore All-American Kevin Craddock and super-frosh Darius Reed led the No. 16 UCLA track and field team on day one of the Modrall Sperling Invitational in Albuquerque, NM as both qualified for Saturday's final in the 60m hurdles.
Craddock, running in the first indoor season of his career at UCLA, posted the fastest prelim time in the hurdles, 7.82, an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Reed ran the third-fastest time of the nite (8.00) as both move on to the finals on Saturday.
In the 60m race, freshman Stan Griffin was the top finisher for the Bruins, running 6.92 for eighth-place, advancing him to Saturday's final. Sophomores Garland West and Alex Pearlstone finished 10th and 11th as both ran 7.02.
In the only event final of the night, the long jump, junior Joel Tuosto finished fourth overall with a jump of 23-6.75.
On Saturday, the finals of the 60m and 60mH will be contested. Freshman David Klech will make his UCLA debut in the 400m and as a member of the distance medley relay, while the triple jumpers and shot putters will also compete.
