CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Lawrence Hill scored 24 points, including five 3-pointers, to help Stanford defeat Oregon State 67-56 Saturday night.
Marcel Jones had 20 points and eight rebounds, and Kyle Jeffers added 14 for the Beavers (9-11, 1-6 Pac-10), who shot just 37.7 percent from the field and fell for the sixth time in seven games.
Anthony Goods had 16 points and made 8 of 10 free throws, and Brook Lopez had 12 points and nine rebounds for the Cardinal (12-5, 4-3), winners of four of their last five.
The Cardinal won despite 18 turnovers to Oregon State's five. Stanford trailed by five in the second half, but put together an 18-1 run that included three 3-pointers.
Oregon State was without its second-leading scorer, forward Sasa Cuic, who suffered a bruised left elbow in the Beavers' 77-74 loss to California on Thursday. Shooting guard Wesley Washington was limited with a right wrist injury from the Bears' game - he came off the bench and played 17 scoreless minutes.
Stanford was coming off a wrenching 66-59 loss to No. 9 Oregon, a game that was nip and tuck until the Ducks put it away with free throws.
Against Oregon State, the Cardinal led most of the way through the first half, including 11-2 early on. The Beavers outscored Stanford 13-5 at the end of the half and took a 34-29 lead into the break.
Stanford tied the score at 40, but Angelo Tsagarakis and Roeland Schaftenaar made 3-pointers, and Tsagarakis converted a breakaway layup to give the Beavers a 48-43 lead at 9:11.
With Oregon State scoreless for the next 5:40, Stanford went on a 9-0 run that Hill capped with his third 3-pointer of the game.
Two more 3-pointers from Hill and one from Goods made it 61-49.
Josh Tarver had eight points and five assists for the Beavers, but he shot just 3-of-11 from the field.
