WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - STANFORD forward Brook Lopez has been named the U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for January 22-28.

Lopez, a freshman from Fresno, Calif., averaged 12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 6.5 blocks as Stanford swept the Los Angeles schools. In the 65-50 win over No. 25 USC, Lopez recorded the first triple-double in school history with 18 points, 11 rebounds and a school record 12 blocked shots. In the 75-68 upset of No. 3 UCLA, Lopez scored seven points and pulled down eight rebounds.
