UW To Present Signing Day Central
Feb. 5, 2007
SEATTLE - The University of Washington athletic department and its official athletic website ( www.GoHuskies.com) are teaming together to provide exclusive live updates during national signing day on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
Beginning early that morning, UW athletics staff will provide live updates as the National Letters of Intent arrive by fax in the Husky football office. Once the documents are validated by the Washington compliance office, GoHuskies.com will provide the announcement of the signing and will feature biographical sketches and other pertinent information.
Throughout the morning, GoHuskies.com will be the site of a live chat that will originate directly from the Husky football offices. Fans can submit questions directly to UW athletics staff and coaches to get the most accurate analysis around.
In addition, assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Chris Tormey will conduct a live chat with fans beginning at noon. He will cover such topics as the recruiting process at UW, an analysis of the class and other issues. Fans will be able to submit questions to Coach Tormey throughout the day and during the live chat.
At approximately 2 p.m., GoHuskies.com will feature a live video feed of the official press briefing by Coach Tyrone Willingham. A free subscription to the Dawg Channel is required.
