WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - CALIFORNIA diver Sam Helvie has been named Pac-10 Men's Diver of the Month for January, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
At the Dallas Morning News Invitational, the sophomore from Bakersfield, Calif., not only won both the one-meter (358.25) and posted his career-best of 381.15 on the three-meter, but he left the invite as the high scoring diver of the two-day event.
