Women's Golf Finishes in Second Place at Northrop Grumman

Palos Verdes, Calif. - The second-ranked Arizona State University women's golf team finished in second place at the 2007 Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif. ASU shot a 39-over 891, nine strokes behind Pepperdine, who took the top-spot.

Sophomore All-American Azahara Munoz led the Sun Devils for the entire tournament and finished in a tie for second place. Munoz shot a 6-over 219. Sophomore All-American Jennifer Osborn shot a 9-over 222 to tie for 12th. Freshman Anna Nordqvist tied for 14th after shooting a 10-over 223. Freshman Juliana Murcia shot a 17-over 30 to tie for 31st. Redshirt freshman Liisa Kelo tied for 41st after shooting a 22-over 235.

Pepperdine's Misun Cho won individual medalist honors, shooting a 5-over 218.

Next up, the Sun Devils travel to instate rival University of Arizona to compete in the Wildcat Invitational, Feb. 26-27.
