Men's Tennis Swept By Cal 5-0

Feb. 24, 2007

BERKELEY, Calif. - After waiting through a rain delay which cancelled doubles play, the Arizona State Men's Tennis team were unable to rally as they fell 5-0 to the Cal Golden Bears Saturday afternoon at the Hellman Tennis Center in Berkeley. ASU dropes to 6-2 on the season, while Cal sits at 6-4.

The Devils were unable to get anything rolling against the Bears, with Matt Brooklyn, Juan Carlos Rebaza, Wes Miller and Murilo Souza falling in straight sets.

Hanging tough for the Sun Devils was sophomore, T.J. Bellama, who took Kallim Stewart to three after taking the first from Stewart 7-5 before the Bear rallied back to take the next one 6-3 and the tiebreak 1-0.
