Cougars Sit in Third After First Day of Red Rocks Invitational

SEDONA, Ariz.- Freshman Diana Hong leads the pack of Cougars and sits in fourth after completing the first day of play of the Red Rocks Invitational at the par-72, 6,089 yard Oakcreek Country Club.
The results for the first day of play are currently unofficial because the tournament was suspended due to darkness. The first round will be completed on Sunday followed by the remaining 18 holes of play.
Hong finished the first day at even par, while as a team the Cougars are in sole possession of third place with a score of 18-over 78. Junior Brooke Henderson is currently in the top-25 in a tie for 13th.
Sophomore Amy Eneroth and Jessica Black finished the first day of play in a tie for 29th and tie for 38th respectively. Black completed the first round with a score of 8-over 80, while Eneroth has yet to finish her first round play.
Rounding out the Cougar contingent is junior Tracy Broders who is in a tie for 70th. Broders also did not complete her first round of play and will finish the round on Sunday.
The conclusion of the first round will be played Sunday, March 4, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., directly followed by the final 18 holes of regulation play.
