Golfers Tied for First in Texas

The 14th-ranked UCLA women's golf team was tied for first place after the first round of the Texas A & M 'Mo' Morial at the Tradition Golf Club in Bryan, TX.

The Bruins were tied with third-ranked Arizona State at 16-over par 304. Host Texas A & M was third at 305 (+17), followed by USC at 306 (+18) and Oklahoma State at 307 (+19).

Individually for the Bruins, senior Hannah Jun was in first place at two-under par 70. Jun's round featured an eagle on the par 5 15th hole. She led Texas A & M's Ashley Knoll by two shots. Junior Tiffany Joh and sophomore Ryann O'Toole were tied for 16th at 77 (+5). Freshman Lalita Boonnoppornkul was tied for 40th after carding an 80 (+8) and freshman Sydnee Michaels was tied for 49th at 81 (+9).
