Kim Jasmer Places 29th In 200 Free At NCAA Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- University of Washington swimmer Kim Jasmer placed 29th overall in the 200 freestyle Friday at the 2007 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The sophomore finished in a time of 1:48.15, nearly two seconds off her personal best (1:46.27).

'Kim was a bit off her best time but I'm certainly proud of the job she did,' said head coach Whitney Hite. 'We had a bit of a hiccup today but we will be ready to go tomorrow in the mile.'

Jasmer concludes the championship meet Saturday with a swim in the 1650 freestyle. Jasmer is seeded ninth in the event.
