Thursday's WSU-Oral Roberts Game Moved Up to 11:30 a.m. Start

PULLMAN, Wash. - Thursday's NCAA Men's Basketball Championship first round game between Washington State University and Oral Roberts has been moved up 10 minutes and is now scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m., Pacific, it was announced today by the NCAA.

The game was orginally scheduled for an 11:40 a.m. tip but Wednesday morning the change was made to move it up 10 minutes. The game will be televised on CBS.

The Cougars enter the NCAA Championship as the No. 3 seed in the East Region and face the No. 14 seed Oral Roberts. Thursday's game marks the first appearance for Washington State at the NCAA Championship since the 1994 season.

The Cougar head in to the tournament with a 25-7 record. The 25 wins matches the total from the 1917 national championship team (25-1) and is just one shy from the school record total by the 1941 team that finished as national runner-up (26-6).

This will mark the Cougars' fifth trip to the NCAA Tournament. The program's four previous trips occurred in 1941, 1980, 1983 and 1994.
