Men's Golf To Compete In Western Intercollegiate This Week

SEATTLE - Washington men's golf returns to the links this week, traveling to Northern California to compete in the 61st Annual Western Intercollegiate held at the Pasatiempo Golf Course in Santa Cruz, March 19-20.

The tournament begins Monday, March 19, with 36 holes of play beginning at 8 a.m. PT. The final 18 holes will take place Tuesday, March 20, also beginning at 8 a.m.

The 18-team tournament field includes UAB, California, Columbia, Fresno State, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Long Beach State, Nevada, New Mexico State, Northern Colorado, Pacific, Purdue, Saint Mary's, San Diego, host San Jose State, Washington and Xavier.

Duke won last year's Western Intercollegiate title, while Stanford's Rob Grube took home medalist honors in 2006.
