For the third straight week, the Pac-10 has three teams gracing the Top 10 ... The Pac-10 regular season champion will be decided this week when No. 8 UCLA travels to the Bay Area to take on No. 4 STANFORD on Sun., Mar. 25 at 2:00 p.m. ... Reaching its highest ranking of the season, No. 9 OREGON STATE hosts Cal State Fullerton on Fri., Mar. 23 at 7:00 p.m., while both Arizona schools travel to Utah with No. 14 ARIZONA facing BYU ARIZONA STATE takes on No. 5 Utah ... CALIFORNIA will stay local traveling to UC Davis in a quadrangular match-up featuring Sacramento State and San Jose State Fri., Mar. 23 at 7:00 p.m. ... WASHINGTON will finish out its season facing Seattle Pacific Fri., Mar. 23 at 7:00 p.m.

ARIZONA STATE senior April Boone has been named Pacific-10 Conference Gymnast of the Week for March 13 - 19 , Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Boone, of Seattle, Wash., won the all-around title with a career-best score of 39.600 on her Senior Night. She scored a 9.900 in every event and placed first in all but one. Boone is currently ranked 39th nationally in the all-around and hopes to continue to move up the rankings this next week against Utah.

The Sun Devils began the meet on vault scoring a 48.800 and Boone kicked off her stellar performance by leading the team with a first-place finish and season-high 9.900. In the second rotation, Arizona State recorded its highest team bars score of the season with a 49.175. Boone added to the night placing first and tying her career-best with a 9.900.

On the third rotation, the Sun Devils recorded their third best beam score of the season with a 49.075. This score contributed to Arizona State's nationally ranking of 22nd on the beam. Boone continued to shine at her final home meet, scoring a 9.900 to place second. Boone is currently ranked 29th nationally on the beam. Finishing off her senior night, Boone scored her fourth 9.900 of the evening on floor to finish first in the event.

The Sun Devils end the regular season at No. 7 Utah on Fri., Mar. 23 at 7:00 p.m. The following week, the Sun Devils host the Pacific-10 Championships at Wells Fargo Arena on Sat., Mar. 31 at 5:00 p.m.

  • ARIZONA - Despite posting its best score in nearly three years (196.650), Arizona fell to No. 16 Penn State ... Arizona's beam score of 49.400 ranks second in program history. The only higher score is a 49.500 set on March 14, 2003, against Oklahoma ... Senior Jamie Holton's career-high 9.950 on floor ties for fifth-place in event history at Arizona with former Wildcat Katie Johnson ... Junior Karin Wurm matched her career high on floor with a 9.900, a mark that is tied for 12th-best in Wildcat history. She also set a new career high on beam with a 9.875, surpassing her previous high of 9.825 set last season ... Arizona travels to Utah for its final regular season meet to take on BYU on Fri., Mar. 23 at 7:00 p.m.

  • ARIZONA STATE - In the first annual 'Flip for the Cure,' the Sun Devils fell 196.175-195.125 to No. 12 Arkansas ... Senior April Boone shined in her Senior Night, earning a career-best all-around score of 39.600. The senior captain scored 9.900 in every event ... Sophomore Nicole Harris placed second in the all-around with a 39.250, followed by senior Cassandra Jusino with a 39.200 ... Arizona State recorded its highest team bars score of the season with a 49.175 as well the third best beam score of the season with a 49.075 ... For its final match-up Arizona State will travel to No. 5 Utah on Fri., Mar. 23 at 7:00 p.m.

  • CALIFORNIA - California had two wins this week, the first recording its first upset in three years, defeating No. 22 BYU, 193.875-193.800 but couldn't hold on to beat No. 17 Denver 196.100-193.875, then just two days later defeating Air Force, 191.725-185.600 ... Sophomore Jessica Kelley led the Golden Bears in the all-around in both meets ... Freshman Sophia Hocini collected her season-best mark on vault with a 9.875, winning the individual title ... California returns to Northern California to face UC Davis, Sacramento State and San Jose State in Davis, Calif., on Fri., Mar. 23 at 7 p.m.

  • OREGON STATE - Oregon State just barely fell to No. 5 Utah who won the meet with a score of 196.675 to the Beavers's 196.600. Washington finished third (193.625) and Seattle Pacific was fourth (189.750) ... The one-two punch of super-sophomores Jami Lanz and Tasha Smith, brought the crowd to its feet with back-to-back 9.900's on the floor ...The Beavers recorded a 49.375 on the floor , their second-highest score of the season ... Freshman Mandi Rodriguez led Oregon State with a 9.900 effort marking the fifth time this season she has achieved a 9.900+ on vault ... The Beavers compete in their final home meet of the season next Fri., Mar. 23, when they host Cal State-Fullerton at 7:00 p.m.

  • STANFORD - Stanford had the week off preparing for their showdown with UCLA Sun., Mar. 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Maples Pavilion to determine the regular season Pac-10 champions.

  • UCLA - UCLA took the week to prepare for the meet that will determine the regular season Pac-10 champions where the Bruins will face off with No. 4 Stanford at Maples Pavilion on Sun., Mar. 25 at 2:00 p.m.

  • WASHINGTON - Washington earned four scores above 9.85 and three top-five individual finishes en route to a third place finish at the annual Salbasgeon Suites Invitational in Oregon State's Gill Coliseum ... The Huskies recorded their second-highest scores of the year on bars (48.825) and on vault (49.150) ... Washington was led, as it has been throughout the year, by sophomore Ashley Houghting who entered the week tied for sixth in the nation in vault. Houghting matched her career best with a 9.925 on vault, the highest score recorded by a Husky on the night and tied for fifth on floor at 9.850, marking the sixth time this season that she has scored above a 9.850 on both events ... The Huskies will travel to cross-town rival Seattle Pacific to close the regular season Fri., Mar. 23 at 7:00 p.m.
