SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Washington men's golf shot 14-over 294 in Tuesday's final round to finish the 61st Annual Western Intercollegiate in fourth place overall. The Huskies' highlight of the day was sophomore John Wise sinking a 154-yard hole-in-one on the 15th hole at the Pasatiempo Golf Course.

The Huskies ended the tournament shooting 27-over 867 after notching rounds of 1-over 281 and 12-over 292 the previous day. Washington finished just one stroke behind third-place Fresno State (26-over 866) and three strokes behind second-place California (24-over 864). Purdue won the team title by 15 shots (9-over 849).

Wise aced the 15th hole in spite of windy and rainy conditions in Northern California, but carded a final-round score of 6-over 76. He was Washington's top overall finisher, tying for 15th at 5-over 215. Senior Alex Prugh ended the tournament two strokes behind Wise and tied for 24th at 7-over 217. Prugh shot the best round of the day for the Huskies over the final 18 holes, carding a 2-over 72.

Sophomore Chris Killmer tied for 26th at 8-over 216, which included a 6-over 76 in Tuesday's final round. Senior Erik Olson and junior Zach Bixler carded scores of 3-over 73 in the final round, ending in a tie for 39th and 50th, respectively.

Wise wasn't the only competitor in the tournament to sink a hole-in-one. John Streibich of Xavier aced the par 3, 194-yard fifth hole and also tied two tournament records with a 7-under 63 in the final round and a 54-hole score of 11-under 199. Streibich captured medalist honors by one stroke.
