HONOLULU, Hawaii - Washington women's golf completed the final round of the Donnis Thompson Invitational at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course, Wednesday, ending the two-day tournament in 10th place shooting 90-over 954.

The Huskies weren't able to sustain the play they opened with in the first round, Monday, carding a 32-over 320 in Tuesday's final round. Washington shot 27-over 315 over the first 18 holes, but followed that with a 31-over 319 in the second round.

Texas A&M took home the team title, edging Arizona by two strokes. The Aggies finished at 33-over 897 and the Wildcats finished at 35-over 899. The two teams dominated the field, with the next closest team - BYU - 18 shots behind in third place.

Freshman Molly Aronsson had the best round of the day - and best round of the tournament - for the Huskies, carding an even-par 72. She finished in a tie for 23rd at 17-over 233. Redshirt-freshman Molly Boyle, who was Washington's leader through two rounds yesterday, fell back into a tie for 34th after shooting 10-over 82, Wednesday. She finished at 22-over 238.

Senior Amber Prange and junior Kim Shin tied for 50th at 26-over 242, while freshman Christina Yoon finished the tournament in 67th place at 33-over 249.

The individual medalist was determined by a play-off, with Texas A&M's Danielle McVeigh sinking a birdie on the first play-off hole to win the title. She edged UTEP's Gerina Mendoza who made par on the hole.

Washington will compete in just one more tournament before hosting the Pac-10 Women's Golf Championships, April 23-25. UW will travel to the desert to take part in the PING/ASU Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., March 30-April 1.
