Cougar Women To Compete At Duck Invitational

FORMAT: 54-hole tournament with 36 holes Monday and 18 holes Tuesday.
COURSE: Shadow Hills Country Club, Junction City, Ore.; 72-par, 6,096 yards.
TEAMS: (14) Boise State, Central Arkansas, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Idaho State, Montana State, Oregon, Oregon State, Portland State, San Diego State, San Francisco, Texas-San Antonio, Washington State and Wyoming.
COUGAR WOMEN HEAD TO OREGON: The Washington State Women's Golf team will be traveling to Junction City, Ore., next week to participate in the 2007 Oregon Duck Invitational. The tournament will be held at the Shadow Hills Country Club and played on the par-72, 6,096 yard course. The Cougars will play 36 holes Monday, March 26, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., then complete the remaining 18 holes Tuesday, March 27, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
COUGS DO WELL AT OREGON INVITATIONAL: WSU has done well in recent Oregon Duck Invitational tourneys...last year Anastasia Kostina finished second in leading WSU to a fourth place team finish...in 2005 Kim Welch was also second, leading the Cougars to a fourth place finish.
BLACK, HONG CAPTURE MEDALIST HONORS: Sophomore Jessica Black and freshman Diana Hong have both tied for medalist honors this spring...Hong shared top honors at the Lumberjack Invitational in early March, while Black tied for lead at the Inland Cup the last week in February.
