March 29, 2007
Stanford, Calif. - Six Stanford wrestlers were honored by the Pac-10, when the conference announced its 2007 All-Academic Teams this week. Cardinal junior Tanner Gardner was a First Team honoree, while sophomores Jared Boyer and Tyler Parker were named to the Second Team.
Gardner, who is pursuing a BA in Public Policy and an MA in Sociology, led the Cardinal with the team's only First Team honor. Boasting a 3.75 GPA, Gardner was the Pac-10 Champion at 125 pounds and finished the 2007 season with a 42-5 record and his second career All-America honor.
