Women's Golf Tied For 13th After One Round At PING/ASU Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. - Washington women's golf shot 19-over 307 in the first round of the PING/ASU Invitational held at Karsten Golf Course, Friday, finishing the day in a tie for 13th with Oregon State.
The host Sun Devils jumped out to an early 5-stroke lead carding 3-under 285 in the first round. Oklahoma State and Pepperdine are tied for second at 2-over 290.
Redshirt freshman Molly Boyle led the Husky contingent, carding a 3-over 75 and finishing the first round tied for 32nd. Junior Kim Shin and senior Amber Prange are tied for 50th at 5-over 77. True freshmen Christina Yoon and Molly Aronsson rounded out the Husky lineup, Yoon is tied for 63th at 6-over 78 with Aronsson one shot behind her teammate in a tie for 70th at 7-over 79.
Oklahoma State's Pernilla Lindberg is atop the leaderboard after the first round, shooting 4-under 68. ASU's Anna Nordqvist and Vanderbilt's Jacqui Concolino are chasing Lindberg, carding rounds of 3-under 69 on Friday.
