Stanford Women Host Peg Barnard Invitational

Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford women's golf team will host the Peg Bernard Invitational, April 6-7, at the Stanford Golf Course this weekend. The 13-team field will play 18 holes each day on the 6,030 yard, par 71 course. Both days will feature a shotgun start for the squads, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Admission to the event is free to the public.

Joining Stanford this year for the Peg Barnard are UC Davis, Hawaii, Fresno State, Denver, Eastern Washington, Long Beach State, San Francisco, Oregon State, Portland State, San Jose State, Washington State and Santa Clara.

Last year, the Southern California claimed top team honors carding a two-round score of 588 while USC's Irene Cho won the individual title (137) with a tournament low score.

Stanford finished third at the tournament last year with a two-round score of 592 (302-290).

Complete results will be posted at at the completion of each round.
