Cal Travels to Dixie Classic

BERKELEY, Calif. - The California women's golf team will compete at the BYU Dixie Classic Tuesday-Wednesday, April 3-4, at the Entrada at Snow Canyon Golf Course (par 71, 6151 yards) in St. George, Utah. Thirty-six holes will be played on Tuesday beginning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. MT. Play concludes with 18 holes on Wednesday, starting with an 8 a.m. MT shotgun start.

The Dixie Classic serves as Cal's final tuneup for the April 23-25 Pac-10 Championships.

The 15-team tournament field consists of No. 11 Arizona, Boise State, BYU, California, UC Irvine, Colorado, Colorado State, No. 23 Denver, Idaho, Nevada, Portland State, San Diego State, No. 28 TCU, Washington State and Weber State.

Cal's lineup features sophomores Shannon Yocum (77.5 stroke average) and Allison Goodman (75.1), freshmen Roseanne Niven (80.0) and Christina Frick (78.3) and senior Danielle Nash (80.7).

Last weekend, Cal tied for 15th at the PING/ASU Invitational with a 54-hole score of 928 (+64). Yocum led the Bears for the first time in her career, tying for 48th at 13-over 229. Prior to the PING/ASU Invitational, Goodman had paced the Bears in the last five tournaments.
