Men's Golf Team Tied for Fifth Entering Final Round of NIT

The UCLA men's golf team was tied for fifth place entering the final round of the National Invitational Tournament at Omni Tucson National on Tuesday.
The Bruins posted a 36-hole team score of 572 (-4) and were tied with Arizona, one shot behind fourth place TCU at 571 (-4). Tulsa jumped out to the two-round lead with a 12-under par score of 564, followed by Arizona State at 566 (-10). In third place was Texas A&M at 569 (-7).
Individually for UCLA, junior Kevin Chappell was tied for second place at five-under par 139 after carding rounds of 71-68. Teammate Craig Leslie was tied for 20th at 144 (E) after posting scores of 71-73 and freshman Jason Kang was tied for 24th at 145 (+1) after rounds of 70-75. Freshman Lucas Lee was tied for 42nd at 147 (+3) after rounds of 75-72 and teammate James Lee was tied for 55th following scores of 77-72--149 (+5).
Tulsa's Ryan Henry was the 36-hole leader at 136 (-8) following a pair of 68s.
