Huskies Head To Indiana For Boilermaker Invitational

SEATTLE -- The Washington men's golf team, ranked 32nd according to the latest Golfweek poll, will head to West Lafayette, Ind., this week to compete in the Boilermaker Invitational hosted by Purdue, Sat., April 7, through Sun., April 8. The tournament will be held at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex and the par-72, 7,382-yard Kampen Course.
Saturday's action will feature 36 holes, beginning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. EST. The event will conclude Sunday with the final round teeing off at 8 a.m. EST.
Seven of the 15 teams in the tournament field are tabbed in the latest Golfweek Top-50 rankings including No. 28 Auburn, No. 31 Baylor, No. 32 Washington, No. 33 Wisconsin, No. 37 Northwestern, No. 44 Michigan State and No. 49 Purdue. Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Toledo round out the field.
The Huskies are coming off a sixth-place finish at the Oregon Duck Invitational last week, with senior Alex Prugh winning co-medalist honors at the event. Prugh leads the Huskies with a 71.67 stroke average.
