Glissmeyer Again Leads USC At U.S. Collegiate Championships

For the first time this season, the No. 5 USC men's golf team did not finish a tournament in the top 5, but still featured four players who finished in the top half of the individual standings after three days of the competitive U.S. Championship at the Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta, Ga., on Wednesday (April 11).

The Trojans finished 12th overall with a 910 (304-301-305, +46). Top-ranked Georgia won the event with an 884 (+20).

Five of the top six ranked teams in the Top 25, seven of the top 10 and 13 of the top 25 were participating in the tournament.

Sophomore Tom Glissmeyer was USC's highest finisher, tying for 30th with a 227 (75-74-78, +11). It marked the sixth straight tournament Glissmeyer was 33rd or higher in an event.

Senior Joshua Wooding (76-76-76, +12) and freshman Rory Hie (76-75-77, +12) were among those tied for 36th at 228.

Freshman Jamie Lovemark finished outside the top 20 for the first time this year, his 229 (77-76-76, +13) tied for 43rd.

Senior Jordan Nasser finished 73rd with a 241 (80-85-76, +25).

USC immediately will travel to Tempe, Ariz., for the Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational at Karsten G.C. The tournament will run from Friday to Sunday (April 13-15).
