Cougars Men's Basketball Inks German

April 19, 2007

PULLMAN, Wash. - Fabian Boeke has signed a National Letter of Intent to play men's basketball at Washington State beginning next fall, Cougar Head Coach Tony Bennett announced, Thursday.

Boeke (Boke), a native of Kummerfeld, Germany, is a 6-foot-11, 230-pound forward/center. He played at Urspring Basketball Academy and was a member of both the Under-18 national team for one season and the Under-20 national team for two seasons for his native country.

'Fabian (Faw-BE-in) is more of a skilled-forward type than a power (forward),' Bennett said. He can play the fiver or the four, that's what he's done.
