Track And Field Posts Four NCAA Regional Marks At California Collegiate Challenge

Stanford began their stretch of three track and field meets in three days as they traveled to Berkeley today to compete in the California Collegiate Challenge. The Cardinal produced four NCAA Regional Qualifying Marks as they prepare for the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational taking place Sunday, April 29 at Stanford.
On the women's side, Jaynie Goodbody took second place in the hammer throw as she posted a mark of 169-10 (51.76m). In the high jump Tessa Flippin recorded a fifth place finish with her leap of 5-03 (1.60m).
On the men's side, Graeme Hoste earned a second place finish in the pole vault as he recorded an NCAA Regional Qualifying Mark of 17-00 ¾ (5.20m). In the hammer throw, Kyle Davis-Hammerquist took fourth place as he posted an NCAA Regional Qualifying Mark of 184-03 (56.16m). Michael Robertson took second place in the discus throw as he posted an NCAA Regional Qualifying Mark of 196-07 (59.91m), while Daniel Schaerer posted a fourth place finish with an NCAA Regional Qualifying Mark of 188-08 (57.51m). In pole vault section 'B,' Ben Sheehan recorded a season best height of 15-01 (4.60m) to finish fifth in the event.
The Cardinal continues its busy weekend tomorrow at the California Collegiate Challenge, while they gear up for the highly anticipated Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
