Stanford Prepares For Pac-10 Track And Field Championships Presented By 76 Gasolines

COMING UP FOR THE CARDINAL
Stanford track and field returns to action Saturday-Sunday, May 5-6 for the Pac-10 Track and Field Multi Event Championships, presented by 76 Gasolines at Cobb Track and Angell Field. The following weekend, May 12-13, will feature some highly competitive throwing and running events as Stanford once again plays host to the Pac-10 Track and Field Championships, presented by 76 Gasolines. The Cardinal is coming off some excellent performances at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational, and will look to continue their success in the weekends ahead.

Josh Hustedt has the second best Decathlon score of 7286 points, which he achieved competing at the Cal Multis. The top ranked athlete in the event is Jake Arnold of Arizona with his score of 7946 points, which he earned while competing at the LSU Combined Events. Third place is held by Steven Conrad of California with his 7214 points earned at Cal Multi Events.

In the Heptathlon, Kara Bennet ranks ninth with her score of 4387 points from the Cal Multis. First place currently belongs to Diana Pickler of Washington State with 6205 points from the Texas Relays. Second place is held by Washington State's Julie Pickler with her score of 5734 points from the Texas Relays.
