Junior Georgea Richards will head to Palo Alto this Saturday and Sunday to compete in the Pac-10 Heptathlon Championships. Richards will be the sole competitor for the Bruins at the multi-event championships and she heads into the meet with the sixth-best point total in the Pac-10 this season - 4,956 points. She will also try to surpass the provisional qualifying standard of 5000 points to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Washington State's Diana and Julie Pickler are favored to win, while last year's champion, ASU's Jackie Johnson, will also vie for the title.

The full conference meet will take place next week, May 12-13, also in Palo Alto.
