Washington Football Earns National Television Appearances

SEATTLE -- The University of Washington football team will play at least two of its first three football games and a minimum of four contests overall on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 this season, the networks and the Pac-10 Conference announced today.
The Huskies open the season on Friday, August 31 at Big East Conference opponent Syracuse in a 5 p.m. (Pacific) kickoff in the Carrier Dome. The opener for both teams will be televised live on ESPN.
The Pac-10 announced that Washington's Sept. 15 contest against Ohio State will also be televised live from Husky Stadium by ESPN beginning at 12:30 p.m. In addition, UW's Sept. 29 home game against USC will start at 5 p.m. and will be televised by either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
The Western Athletic Conference also announced today that Washington's Dec. 1 contest at Hawai'i will be televised by ESPN or ESPN2 at a time to be determined.
Pac-10 television partner FSN is expected to announce its early television selections on or around June 1st. All other announcements, including those made by UW's local television partner, FSN Northwest, will be made either 12 or six days prior to each game.
