Golfers Dip to Third Place Entering the Final Round at NCAAs

The eighth-ranked UCLA women's golf team dipped to third place following the third round at the NCAA Championship, hosted by Central Florida at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Bruins posted a team score of 299 (+11) for a three-round total of 893 (+29). UCLA trails first-place Duke by 13 strokes and second place Purdue by five. Georgia was in fourth place at 902 (+38), followed by Vanderbilt and Stanford in a tie for fifth at 39-over par 903.
Individually for the Bruins, sophomore Tiffany Joh dropped to seventh place at 219 (+3), following a third round score of 76 (+4). She trailed the third round leader -- Purdue's Christel Boeljon -- by nine strokes. Senior Hannah Jun was tied for 12th place at six-over par 222 after carding a 73 (+1). Sophomore Ryann O'Toole posted a 76 (+4) and was tied for 18th at 225 (+9). Freshman Sydnee Michaels also signed for a 76 (+4) and was tied for 42nd at 229 (+13). Junior Maiya Tanaka posted her best score of the week, a two-over par 74, and was tied for 63rd at 232 (+16).
Final round action continues on Friday. The Bruins are scheduled to tee off at 1:20 p.m. EDT.
