Burdette, Yelsey Fall In Singles, Doubles Quarters

STANFORD, Calif.- Lindsay Burdette's impressive rookie campaign came to an end on Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Championships, as she dropped a 6-0, 6-2 decision to top-ranked Audra Cohen of Miami.
Burdette's loss to Cohen ends a late-season surge that saw her reach the NCAA Singles quarterfinals. Burdette closes out the year at 31-5 overall and 18-2 in dual match play. Her 31 victories are the most by any Cardinal player this year. Burdette finished 9-5 against nationally-ranked opponents and with a No. 41 ranking.
In doubles, Burdette and Anne Yelsey were defeated 6-3, 6-4 by Clemson's Ani Mijacika and Federica van Adrichem in the quarterfinal round. Burdette and Yelsey finished 23-8 on the year as the Cardinal's top doubles team.
