Women's Accepted Entries for NCAA Track & Field Championships Announced

Seven individuals and the 4x400m relay team will represent the Bruin women at the NCAA Track & Field Championships next week in Sacramento as the field of competitors was announced on Monday. The Bruins qualified five individuals in six events, as well as the 4x400m relay, at the West Region Championships this past weekend and added two more to that total with at-large bids.

Heading to Sacramento are Maris Wisdom (400m), Nicole Leach (400m Hurdles), MacKenzie Hill (400m Hurdles), Rhonda Watkins (Long Jump/High Jump), Jacqueline Nguyen (Pole Vault), Renee Williams (Long Jump) and the 4x400m relay.

Wisdom will head to the meet as the 26th-best quarter-miler (53.43), while Leach (55.49) and Hill (58.42) rank third and 22nd, respectively, in the 400m hurdles.

The 4x400m relay team has the eighth-fastest time (3:32.55).

Watkins has the No. 1 long jump mark (22-4.50) and is tied for sixth in the high jump (6-0.50). Williams ranks 11th in the long jump (21-0.50).

Kantola is tied for sixth in the vault (13-7.25) and Nguyen is 11th with a mark of 13-4.50.
