Stanford Reaches IRA National Championship Grand Final

Camden, N.J. - The Stanford women's lightweight rowing varsity eight boat was one of six boats to qualify for Saturday's Grand Finals of the IRA National Championship by taking third place in the second of two semifinals held Friday on the Cooper River. Stanford checked in with a time of 6:45.069 and will row in Lane 6 of Saturday's Grand Final, which is scheduled begin at 1:12 pm, ET.
Georgetown, Wisconsin, Bucknell, Radcliffe and Princeton were the other boats to qualify for Saturday's Grand Final.
Stanford's varsity eight lineup Friday was made up of Kevin Baum, Dave Creighton, Ottavio Siani, Alex Osborne, Mark Murphy, Donny Simkin, Nate Rooks, Silas Stafford and coxswain Ariel Dixon.
