Stanford Places Nine On Pac-10 All-Academic Teams

Walnut Creek, Calif. - Nine members of the Stanford men's rowing team have earned a spot on the Pac-10's 2007 Men's Rowing All-Academic Team with six earning First Team honors and three named to the Second Team.

Kevin Baum (3.48 GPA, Human Biology), Justin Brown (3.32 GPA, Management Science Engineering), Dave Creighton (3.29 GPA, Human Biology), Mark Murphy (3.60 GPA, Undeclared), Donny Simkin (3.42 GPA, English) and Silas Stafford (3.65 GPA, Geological & Environmental Science) were the First Team selections from Stanford.

Ariel Dixon (3.14 GPA, Undeclared), Alex Osborne (3.27 GPA, Undeclared) and Nate Rooks (3.13 GPA, Human Biology) picked up Second Team honors.

To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter of significant substitute.
