Three teams from the Pac-10 continue their trip to Omaha as ARIZONA STATE, OREGON STATE and UCLA have advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals. Only three, the smallest number since the bracket expanded in 1999, of the eight national seeds advanced to the super regionals with second-seeded Rice, third-seeded North Carolina and fifth-seeded ASU remain ... The Sun Devils will play host to No. 13 Ole Miss, while the defending champion Beavers welcome No. 15 Michigan to the Pacific Northwest ... UCLA is the only Conference team still alive that does not have home filed advantage as the Bruins take the short drive to No. 25 Cal State Fullerton ... A minimum of 45 hours of super-regional television will be provided by family of ESPN channels, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. Consult local listings for specific games shown in each area of the country. As many as 15 national broadcast windows could appear on the three ESPN networks from June 8-11 ... The Pac-10 boasts three teams among the nation's leaders, here's where they rank this week (Baseball America): Arizona State (3) , Oregon State (16) and UCLA (20).

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The 2007 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-Americans feature a wealth of baseball talent.

The team is headed by Collegiate Baseball's Freshman Pitcher of The Year Ryan Berry of Rice and Freshman Player of The Year 1B Dustin Ackley of North Carolina.

Here is a rundown of the Pac-10 players named to the 2007 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American Team as chosen by Collegiate Baseball.

• C Dwight Childs, Arizona -- Childs was an honorable mention selection in the Pac-10 Conference. A superb defensive catcher, he hit 7 doubles, 2 triples and knocked in 23 runs late in the season.

• OF Gabe Cohen, UCLA -- A first team Pac-10 Conference pick, he was also named co-Newcomer of The Year in the league. He hit .360 with 9 homers and 32 RBI.

• SS Grant Green, USC -- Named co-Newcomer of The Year in the Pac-10 with only nine errors all season, Green hit .316 with 10 triples (USC record), 14 doubles, 2 homers and 24 RBI.

• OF Jeff Kobernus, California -- An honorable mention choice by the Pac-10 Conference, he hit .340 with 5 doubles and 12 stolen bases with 19 RBI late in the season.

• RHP Mike Leake, ASU -- Leake was fabulous in his initial campaign with the Sun Devils as he was named a first team Pac-10 selection. Heading into regional action, he was 12-1 with a 3.72 ERA and had fanned 75 batters with 26 walks in 101 2/3 innings. He started 10 games this season with one complete game and one save.


• ARIZONA (42-17, 15-9): Including this season, Arizona has played for a regional title in three of the four postseasons it has participated in under head coach Andy Lopez. The Wildcats defeated Notre Dame to win the 2004 South Bend Regional title and dropped two straight games against Cal State Fullerton at the 2005 Fullerton Regional to finish second. Arizona went 0-2 in its first postseason appearance under Lopez in 2003 and did not make the postseason last year ... The Arizona pitching staff, which has the fourth-most strikeouts in school history this season with 522, has punched out 10 or more batters in each of the last four consecutive games, including a season-high 16 in the regional opener against Oral Roberts ... In Arizona's season-ending loss to Wichita State, the Wildcats, who will return the majority of their club next season, got a fine pitching performance out of three sophomores and a freshman. Sophomores Mike Colla, Preston Guilmet and Ryan Perry struck out 10 batters over the first eight innings, while freshman sensation Jason Stoffel capped off an impressive initial postseason with two strikeouts in the ninth ... In three regional appearances, the right-hander retired 11 of the 16 hitters he faced via the strikeout, walked none and surrendered just a lonely single ... Collla (3-3) was charged with the loss despite allowing just three runs on five hits over four innings. He struck out five and walked none in his start of the year.

• ARIZONA STATE (46-13, 19-5): For the first time ever, Winkles Field-Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark will host a Super Regional, as the Arizona State Sun Devils defeated the Nebraska Cornhuskers 19-7 to win the Tempe Regional championship ... CJ Retherford's grand slam in the seventh inning broke open a close game, as the Devils scored 10 runs in the final two innings to pick up the victory. ASU is now 46-13 on the season .... In the Sun Devils' game against Nebraska, Brett Wallace had three hits, vaulting him past the century mark this season, making him only the 24th player in school history to amass over 100 hits in a season. He is the first since Dustin Pedroia did it in 2003 ... Jason Jarvis earned a save against the Huskers, his 11th of the year, extending his ASU freshman record ... ASU landed seven players on the All-Tempe Regional Team, led by the Most Outstanding Player, Mike Leake. In addition to Leake, the team included Ike Davis, Brian Flores, Eric Sogard, Andrew Romine and Petey Paramore ... The Sun Devils will host Ole Miss beginning Saturday, June 9 at Winkles Field-Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark. Game times, set by the NCAA and ESPN, will be 6 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. for Sunday and Monday. ESPNU will televise the game Saturday night, with ESPN2 covering the other two games ...The Super Regional format is a best-of-three, with the winner advancing to the College World Series in Omaha.

• OREGON STATE (42-18, 10-14): Oregon State's Jason Ogata drove in four runs as the 25th-ranked Beavers beat seventh-ranked Virginia 7-3 on Tuesday afternoon to win the NCAA Charlottesville Regional baseball tournament. Joe Paterson pitched a scoreless final three innings to earn a save to go with his two wins in the tournament for OSU ... With the win, the Beavers advance to the NCAA Super Regionals for the third straight season and earn the right to host the best-of-three series against Michigan ... On Monday afternoon, the Beavers reached the 40-win mark for the third straight season when Jorge Reyes picked up the win over Rutgers to improve his record to 5-3 this season, pitching six innings and allowing two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four. Daniel Turpen then pitched the final three innings for his second save of the season, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out two. ... On Tuesday, the Beavers won their ninth straight elimination game over two seasons, with three back-to-the-wall victories in Charlottesville coming on the heels of the six elimination games the Beavers won at the 2006 College World Series en route to the national championship ... Oregon State is now 20-6 in the postseason over the past three years. The game was the 30th time in 61 games this season that the Beavers have held an opponent to three or fewer runs.

• UCLA (33-26, 14-10): The UCLA baseball team will face Cal State Fullerton in the NCAA Super Regionals at Goodwin Field beginning Saturday, June 9, at 4 p.m. live on ESPN in a best-of-three series form ... The Bruins won the Long Beach Regional by defeating No. 1 seed Long Beach State, 7-4, Sunday evening at Blair Field. The Bruins defeated No. 3 seed Pepperdine, 7-3, in Friday's regional opener and knocked off No. 4 seed Illinois-Chicago, 3-1, Saturday evening ... UCLA earned its first win in three games against Long Beach State in 2007... The Bruins swept an NCAA Regional for the first time since 2000, when UCLA last advanced to the Super Regionals ... UCLA pounded out 14 hits against Illinois-Chicago on Saturday and tallied 12 hits on Sunday against the Dirtbags ... Gavin Brooks has logged a 1.05 ERA in his last three starts, amassing 16 strikeouts in 25.2 innings; the left-hander has limited opponents to a .138 batting average in that span, allowing just three earned runs and 12 hits ... Earlier this season, the Titans defeated UCLA twice in a three-game series. The Bruins downed Cal State Fullerton, 6-2, in the series opener Friday, Feb. 23, at Goodwin Field. Cal State Fullerton won by scores of 7-4 and 7-2 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, at Jackie Robinson Stadium ... UCLA will make its first appearance in a Super Regional since 2000. The Bruins have posted a 33-26 record in 2007, including a 14-10 mark and third-place finish in the Pac-10. Cal State Fullerton tallied a 36-23 overall record and finished 10-11 (fifth place) in the Big West Conference. UCLA played a total of 11 games against teams which have advanced to the Super Regionals.
