Meredith Coleman Earns All-America Honors

STANFORD, CA - Cardinal Senior Meredith Coleman earned one of ten spots in the inaugural selection of the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Lightweight All-America team announced today.
The four-year stroke seat and captain of the Stanford team has led the Card Lightweight Eight to three top-five finishes at the IRA National Championship (2003, 2005, 2007), three Pacific Conference Championships (2004, 2005, 2007), and two victories in the AW Coggeshall Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic (2005, 2007).
The Piedmont, CA native rowed for the Oakland Strokes before coming to Stanford. She is a four-year letter winner and CRCA Academic All-American.Earlier this week Coleman's teammates awarded her the Cardinal Award for dedication, leadership, and spirit at their annual awards banquet.
The CRCA All-America awards, presented by Pocock, recognize the outstanding accomplishments of female lightweight rowers and coxswains for the spring season. Six schools are represented, led by Bucknell with three awards.Princeton and Wisconsin each had two All-America selections and Stanford, Harvard, and Georgetown each produced one All-American.
