Quinn, Willis To Face Off Friday Night At Staples Center

Former UCLA teammates Noelle Quinn and Lisa Willis will meet for the first time on opposite ends of the court on Friday, June 8 when Quinn's Minnesota Lynx team visits Willis' Los Angeles Sparks team at the Staples Center for the Sparks' home opener.
This will be Quinn's first professional appearance in Los Angeles since being drafted fourth overall in April's WNBA draft. Quinn has played in all eight games this season and has made five starts. She is averaging 1.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, with highs of seven points in the season opener at Indiana, six rebounds at Chicago and four assists vs. Chicago.
Willis has played in three of the Sparks' four games and averages 2.3 points per game, with a season-high of seven points in the season opener at Chicago. Last season, she averaged 4.6 points and 1.1 steals per game and ranked first in steals per turnover (1.5).
Bruin fans will have a second chance to catch Quinn in action at the Staples Center on Aug. 12 when the Lynx return to face the Sparks. That game will be televised by Fox Sports West at 6:30 pm. The two teams will play in Minnesota on June 16 and July 27.
Another former Bruin star, Nikki Blue of the Washington Mystics, will return to the Southland to face the Sparks on Aug. 9. Blue is currently averaging 2.0 points per game while playing in five of six games for the Mystics. Blue and Quinn will face each other for the first time on July 10 at Washington and again on July 20 at Minnesota.
