Swimmers Head North for Santa Clara Invitational

A number of current Bruin swimmers, as well as two incoming frosh and two alums will be in action this weekend as they compete at the Santa Clara Invitational. The four-day meet begins on Thursday and runs through Sunday.

Competing this weekend are: Kim Vandenberg - 100/200 fly, 50/100/200/400 Free; Nicolette Teo - 100/200 breast; Anna Poteete - 50-100-200 Free; Chiemi Yamamoto - 200 breast, 200-400 IM, 400 free; Isabell Fischer - 100/200 backstroke; Madeleine Stanton - 100/200 backstroke; Luisa Los Santos - 100/200 breast; Silke Notowitzin - 200/400 free; Kristen Fischer - 200-400 IM, 200 breaststroke; Shannon Hackett - 200,400 free; Cara Davidoff - 50 free; Alex Nalevanko-100 back; Katherine Wong.

Incoming freshmen Lauren Hall (IM) and Emily Bibb (50-100-200-400-800 free) will also be in action in Santa Clara.

Thursday will feature the 1500 Free, but no Bruins will compete in that event. On Friday, the 100 Free, 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 Free, 400 Free, 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Fly and 400 Free Relays will be contested.

Saturday will feature the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 100 Breast, 400 Free, 200 Free, 200 Back, 100 Back, 40 Free and 800 Free Relay.

Competition wraps up on Sunday with the 200 Fly, 200 Breast, 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 IM, 200 Back, 100 Back, 800 Free, 1500 Free and 400 Medley Relay.
