Three ASU women's Golfers Named NGCA All-American Scholar Team

Coral Springs, Fla. - Arizona State women's golfers Azahara Munoz, Anna Nordqvist, and Juliana Murcia were named to the 2007 NGCA All-American Scholar Team.

Munoz, a sophomore from Malaga, Spain, majors in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in psychology and business. Munoz finished tied for second in two events this season.

Nordqvist, a freshman from Eskilstuna, Sweden, is undecided in her major. Nordqvist was also named Freshman of the Year by the NGCA and Pac-10 Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.

Murcia, a freshman from Bogota, Colombia, majors in art. Murcia finished tied for fourth at the Pac-10 Championships, her highest finish of the season.

To be considered for the NGCA All-American Scholar Team, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have competed in at least 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
