PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State University football single-game tickets for home games will go on sale Saturday, Aug. 4, beginning at 10 a.m., only at the Cougars' official athletic website,, WSU Director of Ticket Sales Dan Meyer announced Tuesday.

'This special on-line pre-sale opportunity will extend throughout the weekend at,' Meyer said. 'Phone sales and in-person sales at the WSU Athletic Ticket Office, located at N. 225 Grand Ave., in downtown Pullman, will commence Monday, August 6, at 10 a.m.'

All tickets on sale via WSU's website will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis, and patrons will be offered the best seats available to them at that time, Meyer says.

'We are extremely excited about the opportunity to provide our fans with this pre-sale opportunity via our internet sales channels for the second consecutive year,' Meyer said. 'We anticipate our customers will appreciate the ease with which they can purchase their tickets this weekend, and they'll have the tickets in their hands by the following weekend.'

Single-game seats available in areas requiring a Priority Seating Donation will not be included in the on-line sale, nor will single-game Family Plans in the end zone or handicapped-accessible seating. Seats in those areas of Martin Stadium will be available by phone or in person at the WSU Ticket Office starting Aug. 6 at 10 a.m.

With an attractive five-game home schedule, including a potential top-10 team in UCLA and the first visit to Pullman since 2003 for regional rival Oregon State, Meyer feels the demand for tickets is expected to be high.

'Season ticket sales are right on pace with last year, when we sold the third-highest total in school history, so it's encouraging to see that the enthusiasm for the upcoming season is strong,' says Meyer.

WSU kicks off the season at Martin Stadium against Idaho ($40/ticket), Sept. 15. The Cougars then face Pac-10 foes Arizona State (homecoming, $40), Oct. 6, UCLA ($40), Oct. 27, Stanford ($40), Nov. 10 and Oregon State ($40), Nov. 17.

To ensure the best possible seating, Cougar fans are reminded that season football tickets are $200 per seat, with great locations still available. Family plans for two adults and two children, or one adult and three children, are $450.

Additionally, tickets for the Sept. 8 Cougar Gridiron Classic presented by Washington's Beef Producers are currently on sale. This annual 'home' game in Seattle features the Cougars versus San Diego State at Qwest Field. Ticket prices range from $7 to $50 and are available online at, by phone at 1-800-GO-COUGS, or through all Ticketmaster outlets.

Tickets for road games are also available through, or by phone at 1-800-GO-COUGS. WSU's allotment for the Nov. 24 Apple Cup at Husky Stadium is available online to football VIPs by invitation only. Should any Apple Cup tickets remain unsold, they will go on sale via the WSU Athletic website Saturday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m.
